Chitosan fiber is a kind of natural, healthy and environmental new functional fiber. It is produced by highly deacetylated chitosan which is made into serous of high viscositythrough wet spinning process and special finishing process.
It can be used as membrane materials, medical non-woven, textile fiber yarn, and so on.
Its intensity and extensibility is high enough as chitosan sutures for medical supplies. The suture intensity is high during the first 10-15 days after surgery, and decreases ever since for organism absorption. Chitosan fiber is non-toxic but easily absorbed by enzymolysis with no biological repellence or allergic reaction. Thus chitosan suture can stay in the body, which also takes effect in pain easing, hemostasis and healing.
♦ Medical supplies: e.g. sewing thread, bandage, band-aid, mouth shad, surgical dressing
♦ Chitosan membrane materials: e.g. water filtration
♦ Moisture absorption and quick-drying
♦ Antibiosis, bacteriostasis, mildewproof and deodorization
♦ Hemostasis and analgelsia
♦ Adsorption and purification ♦ Antistatic electricity ♦ Comfortable handfeel
